Welcome to Alrode Works Academy
The idea for Alrode Work’s Academy Sewing and Embroidery Course came from seeing how many talented people in our communities were struggling to find work. We wanted to do something practical — something that would give people more than just hope — we wanted to give them a skill that can feed them for life.
At Alrode, our goal is to help people — especially the unemployed and young people — to stand on their own feet.We believe that once you learn how to use your hands, your creativity, and a machine, you don’t just gain a skill — you gain independence. This course isn’t just about sewing. It’s about opening the door to entrepreneurship, confidence, and self-reliance.
We’ve already seen so many success stories — and that’s what makes it all worth it.

SUPPORT OUR FREE SEWING ACADEMY & EMPOWER THE YOUTH
Our Sewing Academy was founded out of a genuine love for seeing young people grow, learn, and strive towards their dreams.
We believe that financial circumstances should never be the reason a young person gives up on their future. That is why our Sewing Academy is currently free of charge for young people aged 18–35, giving them an opportunity to learn practical sewing and entrepreneurship skills that can help them build sustainable careers and businesses.
Beyond training, we also do our best to support our students by providing food and transportation every school day, as well as food parcels every two months to help motivate them to keep pushing forward despite the challenges they face.
At the moment, our Sewing Academy is not yet accredited, but our dream is to become a fully accredited training institution so that our students can receive recognised qualifications and have even greater opportunities.
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE THIS DREAM A REALITY.
You can support us by:
Assisting us with the accreditation process
Donating food and food parcels
Sponsoring student transportation
Making a R50 donation or any amount you can afford
Donating sewing machines, fabric, thread and other training materials
Partnering with us as a sponsor or CSI partner
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference.
R50 may seem small, but when many people contribute R50, it can become something powerful.
We started this Academy with one mindset:
EMPOWER THE YOUTH. CREATE OPPORTUNITIES. CHANGE LIVES.
Some of our everyday expenses can become overwhelming, but we continue to push forward because we believe in the dreams of our students.
We trust God for provision, and we trust that the right people will join us in this journey.
If you would like to support, sponsor, donate, partner with us, or assist us in becoming an accredited Sewing Academy, we would deeply appreciate your love and support.
Together, we can give young people more than skills—we can give them hope, opportunity and a chance to build their own future.
SUPPORT THE SEWING ACADEMY.
SUPPORT THE YOUTH.
SUPPORT THE DREAM.
We established this academy to help bridge the skills gap among young people by providing practical, industry-relevant training and skills development opportunities. With unemployment and crime affecting many communities, we are committed to empowering youth with the knowledge, confidence, and entrepreneurial skills needed to secure employment, create businesses, and contribute positively to society.
To be a leading academy that empowers individuals with practical skills, knowledge, and confidence to achieve personal growth, employment opportunities, and entrepreneurial success
Our mission is to provide high-quality sewing and garment manufacturing services while developing skilled professionals, creating employment opportunities, and delivering innovative, durable, and affordable products that exceed customer expectations.
